Pecan Nut Biscuits

And unlike other biscuits which can take 20-30 minutes to bake, this fun creation is done in just 10 minutes. It's like motivation can make instant cakes! And you don't even need to bake the hazelnuts in the oven first, because they are strategically located on top of the biscuits, so they can be baked when the biscuits are done! What a genius!

Pecan Biscuits
Ingredients:
125 hazelnuts
60 grams softened butter
cup icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
cup plain flour

Steps and Method:
Preheat oven to medium, 180 degrees Celsius.
Steps 1.
Finely chop a quarter of the pecans, then save the rest.
Steps 2.
Beat butter with icing sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Steps 3.
Add chopped pecans, mix well. Then add the flour that is shifted into two parts.
Steps 4.
To make the biscuits really light and fluffy, instead of chopping the pecans by hand, blend them in a food processor until very smooth. This is even easier for you to do.
Steps 5.
Using floured hands, roll a teaspoon of the mixture into balls, then using the pecans, press each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper; leave 2.5 cm between each biscuit.
Steps 6.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a tray then sprinkle with icing sugar before serving!

Expand it, so before you pop it in the oven, the pecans will look like twice the size of the biscuit, but once baked the biscuits will look bigger than the pecans! So don't be tempted to make the ball bigger than a teaspoon.
